We had the Downs Christmas Party the Saturday before Christmas this year. There is so many people in our family that work in health care that it makes it tricky to time it all right. Call me selfish but I really don't like to travel on Christmas Day. Last year I had to work Christmas Eve all night so Santa came on the 23rd and we stayed home all day on the 24th. It was so nice to let my kids enjoy their toys and not have to pack everything up to go visiting. I think we will be doing this while they still believe in Santa, and are little. Anyways, we always look forward to the Christmas Party because they have some fun traditions. We have a family night where each family does a talent. Addison and Trent sung Jingle Bells- its uploaded on Facebook. It was really cute cause she doesn't know all the words and kind of makes them up! Then we have a pinata (well 2 actually, 1 for the kids and 1 for the adults) and of course Addison LOVES that. Talon wasn't so sure this time. He took a turn but had everyone take a turn helping him. My favorite part of the night was when Jake -Trent's little brother picked up Marie- Trent's mom- and spun her in the air! Too Funny! We gave Ron the Dog puzzle- He really likes them! Marie- a Birthday Calender and Collette 2 hats. We got $ money for putter-Trent, gift certificate for a massage-ME!!! A new expansion for Settlers- Family, Webkinz-Addison, Thomas blanket-Talon.We LOVE our families!!!
